Forbidden Planet action figure exclusives

Forbidden Planet has released details of a new Peter Davison action figure — this one wearing Tom Baker’s Logopolis costume, recreating the regeneration at the conclusion of the Fourth Doctor’s final story. I’m guessing this is a precursor to a more widely available Fourth Doctor in that costume. Simultaneously, Forbidden Planet has also released a double pack of the Anthony Ainley Master from Planet of Fire and a Fifth Doctor wearing his Panama Hat. At first I thought it was meant to be a Planet of Fire set, but when I looked closely, the Davison figure has the wrong jumper and trousers for Planet of Fire. I think this is a huge opportunity lost to do a Planet of Fire figure featuring Davison in his shirtsleeves and braces, as seen in the picture below from, funnily enough, Planet of Fire.

    My thoughts exactly, what have they done?!! Dude, just look at w hat these underachievers have been doing: Ive been so totally pissed off this year because of the ludicrous Exclusive figures Character has sent out recently.

    Heres all the bad ones:

    The Delgado Master+a skinned Alive Tellytubby. Co made a KRYNOID figure which was originally to be collect and build for the second wave of classic figures (Ice Warrior, Deadly Assasin Master etc) but was cancelled because the Wave was downsized to being six figures instead of Eight. Cancelled figures included The Sylvester Mccoy Doctor as appeared in the 1988 (or was it 89?) episode, Ghostlight, in the Dark Jacket and no hat. This was ofcourse later released in the then only just conceived idea which was formerly unplanned, Eleven Doctors Set. And The Eighth Doctor likewise, aswell as a rerelease of the Tenth Planet Cyberman.

    With the krynoid temporarily returned to the shelves of the Plastics factory, I had expected the Collect and Build figure to have been rearranged for the (not yet existing) Third Wave of Classic Series figures.

    bUT so very UNFORTUNATELY, Co have decided to paint it orange, sell it with the Delgado Master as an Axon. It looks nothing like an Axon, its a freakin Krynoid from the Seeds of Doom, ! Theres a DVD of that episode on the way by the way, Ill be getting it. But could they not have just stuck a couple hundred tentacles onto the figure, then it would be an Axonn? Or infact, dont repaint it at all! Its a mould made for a Krynoid, not an Axon, they may be similar but there are serious DIFFERENCES besides just the colour you!!!, oh, -Tards!

    So Co, youve missed out on making a coatless Fifth Doctor from Planet of Fire, not to mention the utter shambles you did with the 1980s Fourth Doctor figure having the head cheaply replaced with the Fifth Doctors, when what you could, should, and would have done if I had any say in it, is make an action figure of the Fifth Doctor as he appeared in Castrovalva, with the Coat removed, and the boots replaced with shoes instead, and you can see these little Leather Braces and the scarf unravelled.

    sO THATS THREE MISSED OUT. cHARACTER oPTIONS, you wasters, YOU CHEAP CHEAP CHEAPY OVER-PROFITTING TWATS!

    Its become clear that they dont care about making good Dr Who figures or fullfilling their jobs, their role to Dr Who viewers, to make figures of things, theyre capable of that, but instead they just replace the head of things! The Sixth Doctor from COA, that was just a repainted Fifth Doctor, but with the Sixths head stuck on.

    How much did that cost you to make? And then they sell it on Forbidden Planet for DOUBLE the price for something they made just with a paint adjustment and a head swap. And its no different with the Logopolis Fourth Doctor.

    Money-Wretches!
